|Wargrave Girls Dolphins||0|| - ||3||Tilehurst Panthers Reds|
Fantastic performance by our under 12 Reds today in a friendly with Wargrave Dolphins. A cracking start with some excellent passes and great teamwork. Daisy opened the scoring after a well worked corner, some great vision and one touch football. With an absent keeper, Charlotte and Grace D really stepped up with awesome performances helped with great support from Amy. Some well worked passing again saw Charlotte's shot spilled by their keeper to make it 2-0. Wargrave kept their heads up and kept coming back, piling on the pressure with some end to end stuff. We caught them on the break and after two successive corners, Amy pounced to score her first ever (non dissalowed) Panthers goal to make it 3! Even got it on video! Some great defending and cracking stops from Grace saw the final whistle - a clean sheet the icing on the cake! Every single girl stepped up their game today, they were an awesone force and an absolute joy to watch. Fantastic encouragement from manager Ross who awarded player of the match to the whole team - well deserved! Welcome back mojo !!!

|MFC Popley||1|| - ||0||Tilehurst Panthers Reds|
U12 Reds kicked off our mini tournament against MFC Popley this morning, a fantastic game which saw the Reds under a lot of pressure early on. Popley pushing forward all first half with some really strong and physical play, but the girls held out and were 0-0 at half time. Second half they started really well and put Popley under much more pressure and looked like they were finally getting somewhere, but a strong tackle went Popley's way and they scored a cracking goal from the resulting free kick - completely unstoppable for our outstanding keeper Grace. More pressure and more great saves from Grace, Reds started to turn it around, winning a couple of free kicks and again piling on the pressure. Some great shots from Daisy, Charlotte, Grace and Eloise all went unrewarded, but some great teamwork, passing and excellent runs, trying to catch Popley on the break, but all to no avail. The last 20 minutes was end-to-end stuff but the girls kept their heads up to the final whistle. Some fantastic play by all the girls, solid defending at the back, but they were just too strong for us. Well played one and all - Player of the Match was captain Grace who really led the whole team well today. Great to see them pick up and really enjoy their football again after the misery of the last few weeks. Onwards!

|Westwood Wanderers||3|| - ||1||Tilehurst Panthers Reds|
Wow, what a fantastic game we all witnessed today. End to end stuff, both teams playing so so well, unfortunately for the Reds, we just lost a little discipline at the back and with an own goal and a mix up in defence giving away two silly goals. Ella managed to claw one back for the Reds, but in the end, Westwood were just too strong. This is a completely changed team, credit where it is due, Westwood have improved all aspects of their game and the better team won on the day. Good luck to them all in the final, let's hope we can at least say we were beaten by the winners!

|Tilehurst Panthers Reds||1|| - ||9||Sandhurst Town|
Not a happy game! missing a few crucial players, not least our regular Goalie, Grace,and only the bare 9 players, no subs, this was always going to be a hard game. Given some of the girls had never played a full game, this was asking a lot of them, and boy did they give! The score flatters our opposition as the girls gave their heart and souls. We came out of the blocks raring to go, Daisy taking a cracking shot to put us 1 up. Seems we might have unleased their competitive streak...they just came at us for the whole game and it seemed every shot they took, went in! The girls battled on bravely but we were fighting a losing battle unfortunately, we lost all shape and naturally the girls heads dropped and their team spirit took a dive. Encouragement was in short supply, thanks to Daren Nelson for staying on after his game finished to cheer the girls on. Lots of lessons to be learnt but really proud of all the girls for holding their heads high in the face of some quite unpleasant comments. With a few weeks break to take stock and regroup, I'm sure they'll come back fighting! You can't win 'em all girls, but despite how it's been reported elsewhere (1-10), glad their disallowed goal stopped them reaching double figures! You didn't deserve that!

|Winnersh Rangers Diamonds||2|| - ||2||Tilehurst Panthers Reds|
Really proud of all the girls this morning for picking themselves up after our last game, we took a bit of a hammering! Returning with a solid team for our rearranged match at Winnersh Rangers Diamonds, the girls were in fighting form...some great runs and smart teamwork saw Charlotte put in a great pass to Daisy, who seized the chance to put us 1 up - Alan Shearer would have been proud apparently! With a slight advantage in play, it wasn't long before some great team play again, Ella with a great finish to take us in to half time at 2-0. Winnersh weren't beaten tho and after piling the pressure on came back to 2-1. Still pegging us back they came again and taking advantage of defensive errors, squeezed home a second! The last 10 minutes was end to end stuff and either team could have snatched a winner, with Daisy, Amy, Ella, Eloise and Charlotte all having great chances, Stevie Wonder put in a brief appearance which could have won it for us 😜, but a draw was a fair result as both teams played so well. Player of the match was Holly, her debut appearance this year (we missed u Hols 😂) with some great defending! The whole team played really well, just what we needed...well done each and every one of you Panthers!! Great to see a poorly Milly there supporting - great team spirit xx

|Wargrave Girls Dolphins||2|| - ||3||Tilehurst Panthers Reds|
Very well done to the U12 Reds today - away to Wargrave Dolphins, our home fixture saw them hold us to a 1-1 draw so we always knew this would be a tough game. A cracking effort from Daisy in the first five minutes saw a bit of a spill rolling across the line, we'll take it thanks! Eloise turned poacher when a great stop by their keeper bounced back out, our little pocket rocket pounced to hit the back of the net for 2-0. Wargrave kept their heads up and fought back with a couple of breaks, taking advantage of a gap in our defence and bringing it back to 2-2 at half time. Second half and Reds made some smashing runs and put together some excellent passes. It really was end to end stuff with Wargrave adding as much pressure as we gave them. Daisy made some great runs and was unlucky to convert some chances, only kept out by great defending. A fantastic corner from Ella nearly saw Amelia score with a cracking volley, but an instinctive save from the keeper saw it kept out . A second corner from Ella perfectly swerved into the top corner finally made it 3-2. With 10 minutes to sweat it out, Wargrave piled the pressure on and were really unlucky not to score, saved by some great defending and goalkeeping from the Reds. A very entertaining and well fought game by both sides. Player of the match was well deserved Daisy Peters, best recovery had to be Milly Jacobs for taking a ball on the face but tears didn't stop our little terrier continuing, and best comedy moment has to go to Ella's dad - You've Been Framed would have been proud 😂😂😂 Well done to all the girls, what a great start to 2017!

|Tilehurst Panthers Reds||2|| - ||1||Wargrave Girls Leopards|
U12 Reds - what an awesome game! A rerun of last weeks league fixture for the cup game, we played Wargrave Leopards, having lost twice against them this had to be our day! Reds fought hard from the whistle and Daisy scored a fantastic early goal to settle the nerves! Wargrave were dangerous on the break and whilst we struggled to get back and cover, the ref missed a clear offside and the equaliser was given 😮 Half time and we came out fighting. Pushing forward all the time and putting them under so much pressure. Great runs from all the girls forcing some excellent saves from their keeper but we lacked that final touch! The whistle blew and we went into extra time! What a nail biter!! Surging forward we piled on the pressure and a well taken strike from Charlotte saw a well deserved 2-1 lead in the final minute of the first period of extra time! They swapped ends and there followed the longest 5 minutes of our lives! some great defending from the whole team, working together and pushing forward, Wargrave struggled to get and keep possession til finally...the whistle went! Such a thrilling game - end to end stuff, both teams absolutely awesome...well done to each and every one of them! Player of the match was a hard one this week but won by Charlotte! This team have improved so much and go from strength to strength! Proud to be a Panthers parent!!

|Tilehurst Panthers Reds||1|| - ||2||Wargrave Girls Leopards|
Extremely frustrating game today for our U12 Reds. Playing Wargrave Leopards at Victoria Rec our girls were after righting a truly horrifying start to our season where Leapards thumped us 6-0. An early error saw us give away a penalty and altho Grace guessed the right way and got fingertips to it, not quite enough to stop the conversion, but a cracking effort. 1-0 at half time but Reds came out fighting, having most of the possession and taking control of the game but Leopards made a good break and poked away a 2nd goal. Not broken, back came the Reds with some gutsy and determined runs throwing everything at their keeper who had a great game. Chances from Ella, Amy, Charlotte, Daisy, Eloise and Amelia all added to the frustration when little terrier Milly popped one in the back of the net! Some great teamwork saw Reds pressure for the next 10 minutes with a constant barrage of chances, how they didn't get a 2nd is completely beyond us all! Keeping their heads high tho, final score of 2-1 didn't really reflect the effort they all put in, they were awesome again but Leopards just closed up on us! Improving each week and so so proud of each and every one of our girls. Well done to Milly for Player of the Match award, fantastic goal that could easily have been a hat trick!

|Tilehurst Panthers Reds||1|| - ||3||MFC Popley|
So today our U12 Reds faced unbeaten top of the table Popley. After only losing the first game of the season, we too were unbeaten and looking forward to the challenge. Reds started well making some great tackles, passes and really working together as a team. Lacking that last big push saw us 0-0 at half time. Popley came back harder in the 2nd half and seeing cracks in our defence, pouncied twice to take a 2-0 lead. Grace P had a cracking game in goal making some excellent reflex saves, keeping us in the game. Some good vision from the Reds saw Ella strike to make it 2-1 and just when it looked like we could come back, a top strike from Popley made it 3-1! The girls fought hard but it really was a game of two halves. Losing that first goal left them gutted but learning a hard lesson to keep fighting for each other. With the rematch at Popley next week, lets hope we can even the honours! Well derserved players of the match, Grace in goal and Holly in defence.

|Tilehurst Panthers Reds||3|| - ||1||Winnersh Rangers Diamonds|
Continuing our unbeaten streak...U12 Reds put in a solid performance against Winnersh Rangers Diamonds today. 2 cracking first half goals from Ella took us in to half time. Some great respect and compassion shown by Ella today too...after a powerful first strike that injured Winnersh's goalkeeper, she was the first to check on her welfare - fair play xx Some great runs in the second half by Amelia, Eloise, Amy and Ella, all having great chances but some oustanding saves from their keeper kept us pegged back. Winnersh were dangerous on the break and pulled back to 2-1 before a great corner from Ella and continued pressure forced an own goal to give us a 3-1. Some fantastic defending from the two Grace's at the back, constantly talking and covering kept their forwards at bay. Tired legs and lots of running, but great teamwork girls. Another well deserved girl of the match for Ella too! Puts us joint 2nd in the league. Onwards and upwards...next games gonna be a hard one, but we're on it!!

|Sandhurst Town||1|| - ||3||Tilehurst Panthers Reds|
Another fantastic performance from the U12 Reds this morning against Sandhurst. Brilliant strikes by Eloise and Ella saw us take a 2-0 lead into half time. Ella swapped to keeper and Grace made her outfield seasons debut with some great runs through midfield to threaten as only a goalie can!! Some great vision yet again from the whole team saw Daisy hitting the back of the net with a third before Sandhurst replied with a cracking strike to make it 3-1. Really great teamwork from all the girls, with excellent passing, solid defending and captain Grace pulling the whole team up in the last 10 for a well deserved girl of the match award!! Well done girls, you are a joy to watch and that 4 game unbeaten streak is a great feeling!! Keep it up superstars you're all awesome

|Tilehurst Panthers Reds||1|| - ||1||Wargrave Girls Dolphins|
A really hard fought game this morning for the U12 Reds against Wargrave Dolpins. Weather was a bit rubbish at times but a great first half strike from Daisy put us a goal up. Dolphins battled hard in a goal mouth scramble that saw a great instinctive save from Grace, but beaten by the rebound for an equaliser. 2nd half, Reds dominated the game with some great passes, and were robbed when a dubious decision ruled Amy's solo run and resulting goal ruled offside. Heads up, Reds pressured several more times but were unable to find a winner. Some cracking defending and really great teamwork, sticking with formation and covering each other well. We'll take the point. Well played girls ... you're still awesome and now 3 games unbeaten

Absolutely fantastic performance from the U12 Reds today away at Bracknell JFC. Some awesome vision and excellent passes, battling from start to finish and crossing the line with two top draw strikes from Charlotte and Ella! Lots of gritty and tenacious defending kept us clean at the back - 2nd win of the season, a hearty 2-0 victory over a very good Bracknell team, their keeper pulled off some great and brave saves! All round great team performance - well done Reds!!
